1.The individual must be a current member in good standing with the BTBA
2.The individual must be eligible to hold a British Passport, or have lived continuously in the UK for at least 5 years.
3.The individual must have been born within the boundaries of their County or
The individual must have resided within the boundaries of their County for not less than one year at the time of registration. Serving members of HM Forces (not participating in the RAF team) and their dependants shall qualify after six months residential period.
The tournament will be sanctioned throughout by the B.T.B.A. and all its playing rules will apply. There is also a ban on smoking and alcohol throughout the whole tournament & there will be a strict dress code with denims, combats & singlet’s/vests forbidden. Tailored shorts, tracksuit bottoms and leggings are allowed.
NO FOOD OR DRINK WILL BE ALLOWED TO BE TAKEN INTO THE CENTRE, FOOD AND DRINK WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM THE BOWL FROM 9:30AM.
The tournament will consist of each bowler bowling a total of 8 games (changing lanes after two games).
Tournament Manager is Martin Townshend or any other member of the committee in his absence.
All bowlers are invited to regular squad practice available, the aim is that this will either be part or fully funded by Cambridgeshire Tenpin Bowling Association, through sponsorship and fundraising. There will be an aim to have coaches available at some sessions.

FORMATION OF THE SQUAD
Under Inter County rules the top 2 bowlers in all divisions will be invited to bowl at least 2 games in the qualifying rounds of the Inter-Counties Championship. The rest of the 10 person squad will be picked on current form (Home & Away) and experience. The squad will be selected by a selection committee, a squad of 10 players for each category will be picked within 2 weeks of the trials finishing. The squad will then be reduced closer to the event based on recent tournament and league averages and past experience and performance in county events.
Team England squad players will not be exempt from trials, they will be required to roll off.
The County can register a maximum of 15 bowlers for each team.
Scores will count in selected categories
To bowl in the Counties a player must hold either a standard BTBA membership or Gold Card.
Registration will be 20 minutes prior to the squad and will close 10 minutes later. This is to ensure a prompt start. Late bowlers will start bowling at the frame in progress.
BTBA Membership will be checked online prior to the tournament, those who wish to participate who are not members can join online before or on the day for cost of £22.50
The age restrictions for the different teams are as follows:
Senior : MUST BE OVER 50 ON THE 1st June 2019 – PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO AGE BONUS FOR SENIORS
Adults : OPEN TO ALL
There will be 10 minutes of practice prior to the start of bowling.
The cost of bowling the trials this year will be as follows:
SANCTION FEE £ 2.00
AREA ASSOCIATION £12.00
Total Entry Fee £32.00 – cash on day
Entries will close on Thursday 17th January – entries after this date will be at the discretion of the tournament manager.
